Oyster shucking contest

Contestants will have 3 and 1/2 minutes to shuck oysters, The person with the most oysters in the cup will be the winner. This contest and the crab picking contest are held in kronsberg Park

Crab Picking Contest

Winner will be the contestant with the most meat and the least shell in the alloted time. Colleen and Kathy, the two young ladies in the foreground, are sisters and Tilghman natives, competing against each other in the crab picking contest.

Auction

Another favorite event is the annual Fire Company Auction, All proceeds from this event go to support the Tilghman Volunteer Fire Co. This is a major fund raiser. There is a Silent auction during the early afternoon Followed by the live auction in the evening

Music was provided by 'Bird Dog Wheeler and the Road Kings' Well known Local musicians and song writers that have appeared at the Tilghman Day celebration for the past several years, assisted by Calvin Lewis a Tilghman Island native
